A corridor study is an opportunity to evaluate an area and address future travel needs. It typically includes comprehensive analysis of existing and future transportation, economic, environmental, and developmental needs and resources.

What is the purpose of the I-80 Corridor Study?
The purpose of the study is to provide decision makers within the I-80 Corridor an action plan that identifies current and future transportation issues and a range of workable and cost-effective potential solutions. The concept was created as an early step in addressing the rapid rates of area growth and development and the resulting demand on the region’s transportation system.

Who is conducting the study?
NDOT and the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) are conducting the study.

What are the study limits?
The study encompasses areas west and east of Reno/Sparks, specifically:

When will the study be completed?
The final document will be delivered in January of 2009, with milestone task completions throughout the process.
